World War II Reenactment June 30 & July 1, 2012
Rowlesburg’s WWII Reenactment is Coming Back!
On the last weekend of June (June 25th and 26th) soldiers, jeeps, army trucks, tents and weapons will be back in Rowlesburg!
On Saturday and Sunday, there will be demonstrations and other activities. The Rowlesburg Park and Szyilagyi Center will be the headquarters for the event.
The Greatest Generation Museum will be open in the Szilagyi Center both days. The Rowlesburg Revitalization Committee will sponsor the event this year with help from the Tourism Commission, VFW and Historical Society.
Jef Verswyvel and his wife Maggie DeWeirdt of Rowlesburg, also founders of the Greatest Generation Society Museum, started the WWII event five years ago. They will continue to play a critical role in the weekend activities. More details will follow.
